JYR 7045 Handmade Intermediate Strad Cello

JYR Workshop cellos are handcrafted by our richly experienced luthiers. The quality of workmanship goes far beyond this price range. The tops are made of good quality Asian spruce, and the back and ribs are made of aged maple (aged and dried a minimum of 5 years). Plenty of inventory of tonewood and experienced luthiers allow us to make various replicas of cellos made by the old masters, such as Stradivari, Amati, Maggini, Guarneri del Gesù, Rugeri and Guadanini. From beginner level to professional cellos are all available.e.

The tonewood is naturally dried outside on a covered, ventilated area for 5+ years. The wood is then placed into a drying room, consistent with old world traditional European practices. This process ensures that the wood will not open or expand, and guarantees overall stability

• Top: Two pieces of narrow grain spruce
• Back/Ribs: Well-flamed aged European 2-pieces maple,dried for 7+ years
• Bridge: Hand-carved Despiau, Aubert, Teller or Lide Bridge depending on luthier's choice.
• Strings:We select from Pirastro, Larsen, Dominant ect. The strings chosen might differ depending on the characteristics of each instrument.

Each cello is set up and tested well before shipping to make sure it is ready for use when you receive it. Our professional team is always available to answer any questions you may have and to ensure that your instrument arrives safely.
