JYR Workshop cellos are handcrafted by our richly experienced luthiers. The quality of workmanship goes far beyond this price range. The tops are made of good quality Asian spruce, and the back and ribs are made of aged maple (aged and dried a minimum of 5 years). Plenty of inventory of tonewood and experienced luthiers allow us to make various replicas of cellos made by the old masters, such as Stradivari, Amati, Maggini, Guarneri del Gesù, Rugeri and Guadanini. The Cello is a beautifully handcrafted cello constructed from select spruce and maple that has been dried for a minimum of 7 years. The cello is the perfect choice for the beginner and intermediate cellist, and provides a broader range of tone colors and dynamics, and has a faster response than other models in its price class.

• Back/Ribs: Well-flamed aged European 2-pieces maple,dried for 5+ years

• Strings:We select from Pirastro, Larsen, Dominant ect. The strings chosen might differ depending on the characteristics of each instrument
